Apprentice Picture Framer - MSF30518 Cert III in Picture Framing
Core objectives include:
- Measure and assemble artwork and frames
- Join and cut frames as part of the assembly process
- Clean glass to insert into frames
- Prepare and apply matting to frames
- Mount and laminate pictures into frames
- Plan and organise work, where appropriate carry out measurements, calculations, read and interpret plans and specifications
- Use hand and power tools
- Apply and adhere to workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures
within the workshop - Understand and apply quality control techniques
- Exercises good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Performs incidental work of a trades or non-trades nature to facilitate the completion of the whole task
- As appropriate to training level, able to inspect products and/or materials for conformity with established operational standards
- Exercises good interpersonal communication skills.
- Performs work under supervision either individually or in a team environment
- Apply workplace health and safety requirements, policies and procedures in the workshop
